Energetic Eating

DimensionL Wellbeing provides the philosophy, methodology and container to enable a person to experience what it truly means to feel and stay well: we call it a return to Wholeness. Our approach keeps LOVE in the center. We are here to guide our clients to the highest expression of themselves. The result being greater well-being for the individual and therefore greater well-being for society. Our way provides the opportunity to function in your fullness with more consistency.

At DimensionL Wellbeing we recognize and honor that multidimensional beings must be met with a potential focused, sustainable, multifaceted approach to Vital Wellbeing. We define Wholeness through the lens of 8 dimensions and when applied with LOVE creates a Vibrant Lifestyle.

Through our offerings and care, we help our clients navigate these issues to support them in becoming their own health advocate and turning on their Inner Light. When these dimensions are in resonance, the more LIGHT a person will exude. This is not a quick fix or another marker of achievement, rather it is a way of living and thriving through connection, education and exploration. True health is found in personal coherence - this is when what one says, believes, feels and acts upon are in alignment.

Our mission is to provide impactful and empowering care which awakens people to their divine design and entanglement to the universe; supporting the activation of their full potential.  That is why we created the 8 Dimensions of Wellbeing, which transforms lives and reduces or eliminates suffering.

This blog explores primarily the Physical Dimension of DLW. Today we explore the idea of eating from an energetic perspective. Instead of counting calories or including/removing certain food groups, this perspective explores the energetic impact of foods. From flavors to preparation methods, there are a variety of ways to explore the energetic nature of food.

Diets. Fads. Eat eggs. Don’t eat eggs. It is so difficult to keep up with what is right and wrong in the nutritional world! Which is why I focus on bio-individuality and principles that are not so rigid in thinking, more so reflective of personal needs and environmental impact.

Energetic Eating involves using the elements to balance the body’s specific needs.

Another aspect of Energetic Eating is the source of the food and how it is prepared. Different preparation methods warrants different energetic profiles. Additionally, the more involved you are with your food, the greater the connection. Energetic connection makes its way to our plate, eating mindfully results in better digestion & assimilation of your meal. Eating seasonally is another way to involve Energetic Eating.

Let’s explore energetic profiles of Food Preparation:

  • Stewing: grounded, relaxed energy

  • Baking: grounded, relaxed energy

  • Boiling: light, creative and flexible energy

  • Steaming: light, creative and flexible energy

  • Microwave: tense and anxious energy

  • Electric Stove: tense and anxious energy

  • Restaurant or Fast Food: tense and anxious energy

  • Home Cooked: connected and harmonious energy

Energetic Qualities of Food:

  • Grounded: root & sweet vegetables, meat, fish and beans

  • Relaxed: root & sweet vegetables, meat, fish and beans

  • Light: leafy greens, grains, fruit, raw foods, chocolate

  • Flexible: leafy greens, grains, fruit, raw foods, chocolate

  • Tense: sugar, caffeine, alcohol

  • Anxious: sugar, caffeine, alcohol

  • Harmonious: whole foods, organic, brown rice, local

Seasonal and eating local are additional ways to improve the energetic quality of the food you consume. When we work with the natural cycles of the Universe, we support balance and natural healing abilities. Good health = cooperation.

Have you ever noticed that you craved different foods during different seasons?

Commonly we gravitate towards grounding and warming foods during the winter like; root vegetables, soups, heavier meats and other vegetation grown in the ground. In contrast, summer months warrant a lighter more cooling energy like; salads, fresh & raw vegetables and fruits. The foods that are available seasonally, support our body’s natural cycles. Spring brings leafy greens which help us detox from the heavier food, and excess weight, of the winter months. Foods found in summer keep us hydrated, as the sun depletes us of our electrolytes. How cool is that?! This strengthens my resolve in knowing we live in a loving, supportive, cooperative world.

There are many benefits of eating seasonally. The flavor and nutrient content tend to be of better quality since the produce did not have to travel far. This allows for longer ripening times. Seasonal eating will also save you money since it is what is available and most likely it will be local, lightening your carbon footprint in the process. Local also means community, completing the cycle of harmonious eating.

I encourage you to tune into the energetic experience of feeding yourself. Visit your local grocery store and peruse the fruits and vegetables. Find which ones are seasonal and give them a try! Explore different ways of preparing them and see if you can tune into the way it makes you feel.

It is important to me that we break the stigma of ‘dieting’ and deprivation. Food is living and resonant. Engaging in the energetic of food provides the opportunity to deepen your relationship with food. When we are in good relationship with something, we treat it well and it reciprocates.

This is the backbone of DLW, recognizing, understanding and caring for the relationships which comprise our health and life experience. It means so much to us to be able to provide the space, education and experiences to develop and deepen your relationship with all aspects of your health.

Cheers to your wellness exploration and journey!
