AWG Bakery

AWG stands for air, water and greens and originated as a paleo blog in which the owner, Hannah, shared her health journey and love of food. She personally had to cut out many foods from her diet in order to heal a variety of health imbalances she was experiencing. Hannah has done what many others have failed at - create delicious breads that are gluten-free, grain-free and organic.

And like many other companies I partner with, AWG also cares about their environmental impact and the type of packaging they use. Their bakery bags and labels are non- toxic, BPA free, eco-friendly, and 100% compostable.

Danae’s Feedback: As a baker and food enthusiast myself, I can be really hard to please when it comes to food. Especially when it comes to baked breads. I am sorry but to be gluten-free has often meant you need to have a good imagination too, as gluten-free or grain-free products rarely taste as good as the original. That is not the case with AWG bakery. Their breads are delicious and a wonderful consistency, which is especially difficult with gluten-free, grain-free breads. Their breads are dense, yet soft and do not crumble like many breads do. I love that I can freeze them too, which I typically do to make my loaf last longer. While I have enjoyed all of the breads I have purchased with AWG, I really enjoy the ‘everything’ loaf the most.

AWG Bakery has a good variety of bread options to choose from - both in flavor and types. I love their mini breads for sandwiches, burgers and as a nice side bun. I love their loaves for everyday eating and their round loaves for a nice dinner. As I mentioned above, they freeze really well too. If you get the loaf, I recommend slicing it, leaving out what you will eat for a few days and then freezing the rest. With so many good ingredients, I also feel good about the nutrition I am receiving from these loaves. I have tried many (if not all) of the gluten-free/grain-free bread options out there and AWG Bakery is by far one of my favorites.
